Dan is the author of Escape to Slovakia: Five Journeys from the Ukrainian Border, which is based on his volunteer work with Ukrainian refugees in the winter and spring of 2022.
Dan brings a wealth of education and experience to his work as a memoir writer and editor. A highlight of his many travels is the year he spent in Japan teaching English. He has also made many trips to his father’s home country of Slovakia.
Dan has assisted a wide range of people to share their life stories, from engineers to comedians to karate masters.
Dan’s education includes a Diploma in Business Administration, Bachelor’s degrees in Applied Communications and Psychology, and a J.D. (Law).

Sue brings an empathetic, personal touch to everything she does. Her varied background includes working as a youth employment counsellor and as an addictions counsellor. Her compassionate nature is reflected in the volunteering she’s done with children with special needs and her work as a swimming instructor.
Sue loves helping clients share their stories in a way that affirms their legacy and inspires others.
Sue has Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Applied Communications.
